Helo! My name is Shane Parsons and I am the new Community Development Officer at Menter Iaith Casnewydd.
Helo! My name is Shane Parsons and I am the new Community Development Officer at Menter Iaith Casnewydd. I am a former pupil of Risca Community Comprehensive School and have graduated from Bangor University with a degree in Cymraeg.
Whilst studying my degree, I spent five years living in North Wales. While in the north, I worked in various jobs, including in hotels such as the "Hilton Garden Inn" in Snowdonia and the "Haven" park in Prestatyn. I have also worked as a teaching assistant in both primary and secondary schools.
I am passionate about the Welsh language and look forward to helping develop Welsh in the local community. I believe it is a great opportunity to create positive experiences of Welsh for young people and to promote the language we all love.
